—Mark 10:23-31
by: Jamaal Fyffe.
We often view rich people as being consumed solely with desires of attaining more riches. In Jesus' day, rich people were considered to be in God's favor. Yet, Jesus' statement seemed to be contradictory to this view of the rich. Jesus said, "it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God" (v. 25). This left the disciples baffled. However, his following statement was that "all things are possible with God" (v. 27). So even though some things may seem impossible, with God all things are possible.
