—1 John 2:29-3:5
by: Irene B. Saunders.
In this day of "Do your own thing," it can be easy to separate the dedicated Christian from the hedonistic, unsaved person. What about the worldly "Christian"? John says in verse 29 that "everyone who does what is right has been born of [Christ]" (NIV). Are we concentrating on doing right and being right? Isn't that what righteousness really is? Jesus always did the will of the Father. Should we, as followers of Jesus Christ, do any less?
