—Deuteronomy 2:26-30
by: Susie Sanborn.
I found this passage utterly amazing. Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. Moses asked King Sihon of Heshbon if Israel could pass through his kingdom. I was curious to see what would happen to this king and read on to the end of chapter two. The king refused Israel passage and his entire kingdom was demolished. If King Sihon had been willing to cooperate, he could have made a profit from this nation passing through his land. Instead he lost his kingdom, his citizens, their livestock and his own life. How many times do our poor choices or our hurried decisions make life difficult for us? We need to have willing hearts to follow God’s plan always.
