—Job 13:13-24
by: Kristin Camenga.
Job persisted in his desire to meet with God. He wanted to meet God face to face and to speak with him in order to understand why he is suffering even though he knew that he had obeyed God. Secure in his integrity, he was willing to come before the holy Lord. Why? "Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him" (Job 13:15, NIV). This challenges me to trust in God when I come to the end of my rope, no matter what the outcome may be. Job was able to cling to hope in God despite the circumstances. It didn't matter how it ended-he would hope in God. What is your ultimate hope in following God? Does it depend on the situation in which you find yourself?
