—Isaiah 32:1-8
by: Matthew Berg.
I am struck by the phrase, “and his leaders will carry out justice” (v.1, The Message). How often do we measure a leader’s success by how successfully he recruits and trains his own leaders? We must always realize that our behavior reflects on our King, who has brought us into this saving relationship with Himself. The passage ends with, “But those who are noble make noble plans and stand for what is noble” (v.8, The Message). Are we defined by that high standard? Are we marked by noble decisions? Do we stand for what is noble in the world’s eyes or the Lord’s?
