—Hebrews 11:1-6
by: Jerry Johnson.
Abel and Enoch were two of the earliest examples of pleasing faith in the Book of Genesis. In the first instance we see Abel having his offering approved by God, not so much because it was an animal instead of the plant life given by Cain, but rather, as the author of Hebrews explained, on the basis of his faith. God was more concerned about motivation and the attitude of the heart. Enoch's epitaph reads simply, "He walked with God." Would it not be great if people could remember us as those who seek after God in every area of our lives?
