—Hebrews 11:27-31
by: Jerry Johnson.
We are told that Moses fled for Midian when he was 40 years old (Exodus 2:11-15), sustained by his confidence that God would use him in the liberation of Israel, although the people initially rejected him (Acts 7:25-29). This faith would enable him to initiate the Passover, lead the people across the Red Sea, and guide them to the edge of the Promised Land. Joshua and Rahab the harlot also demonstrated similar trust in God.
When our circumstances are such that we have no other place to turn, do we run toward God or attempt to solve our problems in our own strength? He leads us most when we see the least.
