The priesthood of Melchizedek served as a vehicle of ministry where Abram could offer worship to God. Abram obviously esteemed this king as greater than himself because he surrendered a tenth of his spoils of war to this man. If Melchizedek, a mortal man, was worthy of this surrender from the Patriarch of the Jews, then how much more worthy is Jesus, our High Priest and Savior, worthy of the surrender of our possessions and praise?
