Judas put a price on his devotion to Jesus. For silver coins, he was willing to betray. Often, we look at that act in disgust. As I think about my own life, however, I am ashamed to say that I often put limits on my devotion. I do not "sell out" for silver-but I do make compromises and choose to do what I know is wrong. While it is easy to look at Judas in judgment, his acts should instead turn our gaze to the cross. Jesus died to forgive us for the times that we fall short.
