—Romans 5:6-11
by: Angie Osborn.
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Christ did not die a flowery, peaceful death. He was beaten and tortured, and he suffered. He did that willingly. Christ did not die for “good” people. He died for sinners, for the worst of the worst, for you and for me. In God’s eyes we are all sinners. Christ paid for our sins. We need only to accept that payment. If we accept him and proclaim him as Lord, his death covers our sins. Then we can stand before God, pure because of Christ’s sacrifice for us.
