—John 20:1-10
by: Angie Osborn.
As I read this passage, an analogy came to my mind. The disciples rushed to the tomb and found it empty. Jesus was not there. They were confused and saddened. They did not understand. The tomb reminded me of the human heart. When Jesus is not there, our hearts are cold and empty. We feel confused and sad, even incomplete. When we ask Jesus to come into our lives, our hearts are filled. We rejoice, we understand, and we feel complete and whole. The empty tomb was a sign of hope; Jesus had risen and he lives! Let him live in your heart; he will fill it with hope and joy!
