—Hebrews 11:23-28
by: Jessica Ryall.
Moses was not unfamiliar with the power Pharaoh had over him and his people—over their lives. However, Moses had been to the burning bush. He had seen the “I AM WHO I AM” (Exodus 3:14). And so, boldly, he stepped forward. Moses wasn’t forced from the luxury of the palace. He considered the reproach of the Lord of greater riches than the treasures of Egypt. Do we consider the reproach of Christ to be riches? Or do we complain and sulk when people do not approve? Do we agree with Paul in Galatians 1:10 that, if we wanted to please men, we wouldn’t be working for Christ?
