—2 Corinthians 4:1-15
by: Kay Samuels.
The glory of God is the motive for Christian service. Therefore, our personal comforts, agendas, and conveniences are irrelevant in the context of ministry. If, in the execution of our service to the Lord, we suffer affliction, so what? If we are persecuted, so what? It is not about us.
When we take advantage of the great privilege to serve the Lord and we bring glory to him, we manifest a power that could only come from him. After all, we are only jars of clay. How useful can we really be outside of the enabling power of God?
