It can be difficult for me to leave others behind, trusting that God will watch over them. But Paul moves on, trusting that God will build the Ephesians up, make them holy, and give them an inheritance, no matter what trials they face. The Ephesian elders also had to trust that God would take care of Paul, even though they would not see him again. Can we trust God in the midst of change? Even as we grieve when we leave or someone leaves us, will we choose to trust that God will keep our friendships strong and our friends safe in his keeping?
