—John 3:1-15

Just as Nicodemus had problems grasping the concept of being reborn, many people find it difficult to understand. I won’t pretend to be an expert—but the first thing that comes to mind when I read this chapter is that being reborn is about more than baptism. Being reborn is about becoming a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17). Our goal is no longer to please ourselves, living by the flesh. Instead our focus should be to live by the Spirit, serving Christ. Being reborn is constant, ongoing, and starts with accepting Christ as your Savior, being baptized, and then living for him every day.
