—Jeremiah 17:5-10
by: Ellen Olson.
Would you prefer curses, wasteland, and desert or blessings, greenery and no worry? The first is what happens when we trust in man; and the second, when we trust in God. Trusting a God we cannot see is often more difficult than trusting in men. The results, however, are incomparable. By trusting in God we become like green, fruitful trees. Our roots are deep in God; because of that, different seasons do not destroy us. The world values the ability to overcome difficulties. However, true resilience comes from putting our trust in the right place. Our roots must run deep in God.
