—Psalm 38:9-15
by: Angie Osborn.
As David wrote Psalm 38, he was clearly not in a “good place.” As a man, he felt empty and hopeless, with nowhere to turn. But in verse 15, David expressed his hope in the Lord. He knew that God was there and that He did hear David’s cries. When we face heartache and brokenness, how do we respond? Like David, we need to cry out to God. We need to be willing to honestly lay it all out there; our struggles, our hurts, our sins. Then we need to trust that God is in control, that He is forgiving, and that He does hear our cries.
