—Hebrews 11:8-16
by: Leota Stevens.
Abraham and Sarah probably would have been content to remain in their homeland and live out their lives pretty much like all the rest of their families were doing. But God had a much larger perspective of life than they had and he shared that vision with them. Fortunately for all of us, they chose to accept God’s vision as the direction they would travel. At anytime they could have decided to go back, to stop following by faith, but they didn’t. To be sure, they encountered some glitches along the pathway of trusting God, but they did not allow their focus to rest on what they left behind. Everyday they woke up in their dusty tent, strapped on their leather sandals, and made their choice to follow God wherever he would lead them.
