—Psalm 103:15-22
by: Angie Osborn.
This passage is humbling. In it our life on earth is compared to dust, grass, a breath of wind, and a passing bloom. In short, our existence is minimal when compared to the big picture. “But, the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him!” (v. 17, NLT). Our lives may be short in the grand scheme of things, so we need to make them count! We need to reflect the Lord’s life to those around us so that they can know his saving grace. We need to pass our spiritual heritage on to the next generations by training them in the ways of the Lord. It is so easy to get caught in the “tyranny of the urgent” as we rush through our days. We need to make the business of God and proclaiming his good news our first priority!
