—Acts 4:13-17

The rulers and elders were confronted with the truth: These uneducated, ordinary people had healed a cripple. The only thing accounting for it was that they had been with Jesus. If they could keep Peter and John from talking, they might salvage the status quo.
Are we ever confronted by something undeniable, but choose tradition over grappling with the unknown? Are we afraid to trust God to take care of us, even when we have chosen to walk his way? Do we hide and ignore it, or do we look squarely in Truth’s face and change our ways accordingly?
