—John 12:20-26
by: Angie Osborn.
Jesus uses the analogy of a kernel of wheat needing to die so that the seed can produce more seeds. We too must die in order to produce seeds. We must die daily to ourselves. We must be willing to set aside our own desires and ambitions so that we can turn our hearts to the Lord. As we yield to him, he will work in us to make us who he wants us to be. Others will see those changes and want to come to a saving knowledge of Christ as well. In order to produce seeds, we must allow the master gardener to prune us and shape us so that we can be his instrument for bringing others to him.
