—Jeremiah 31:27-30

It takes courage to accept personal responsibility. We live in a culture that encourages us to blame all of our problems on others if we want to. But God’s Word is clear—everyone is responsible for their own actions and will be held accountable. In the end, each of us should reap the consequences of our own sin, not the sins of our parents or others around us. But we live under a new covenant of Jesus’ sacrifice where He paid the price of our sins for us. Though we have to take responsibility, we avoid eternal punishment if we trust in Him. Are there any areas of your life where you need to begin taking responsibility for your own actions or sin?
