—2 Chronicles 20:5-12
by: Kay Samuels.
I was riveted to my seat as I read the account in 2 Chronicles 20, even though this was not the first time I have read it. When several nations came up against Jehoshaphat and the Israelites, they sought God. So, people from all the towns of Judah came to Jerusalem to seek the Lord’s help. The king committed the situation to God. He further sought favor from the Lord. He recognized God’s power. He was totally dependent on God for deliverance because he recognized that he could not do it himself. We also must always recognize that without God we are powerless, but with Him we can conquer any foe.
