We often approach challenging situations with “spiritual amnesia,” panicking where our faith in God’s ability to see us through should be strong. This was not the case for Elijah. God had used ravens and a poor widow to provide for him, so he believed God could do what had never been done before—restore life to the widow’s dead son. If God can raise the dead, how much more can He provide for you? Whatever you need, instead of being consumed by anxiety, pray to God in faith to turn the situation around. “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” (James 1:6 ESV).
