—1 Thessalonians 2:1-8
by: Richard Crouch.
Finding the right approach is very important for effective evangelism. The motives and attitude of the evangelist make a big difference in how the message is received.
This passage details the manner in which Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy approached the Thessalonians. They didn't come from error, impurity, or deceit. They didn't use flattering speech or have a pretext for greed. Nor did they seek glory from men. Their motives were pure, and they had hearts for pleasing God. What is in our hearts and minds as we go about doing God's work?
