I will always remember being a cadet at the U.S. Air Force Academy. My first experience involved being a "Basic," with a shaved head, going through six weeks of intense orientation into military life. Then there was the Fourth class year, in which we had to walk white marble strips while greeting upperclassmen, eat at attention, and go through hazing for almost nine months-until that day in May when we were officially recognized by the rest of the cadets. The three uniform inspections a week, military knowledge requirements, and feeling less than human built discipline. How much more benefit is spiritual discipline by a loving heavenly Father?
