—Isaiah 1:12-17
by: Susie Sanborn.
When I take a shower, the last thing I want to do is put on the clothes I was wearing before I washed. This is especially true if I’ve been out mowing the lawn. This can be applied to our Christian walk as well. Sometimes we get caught up in the routine of following Christ, going to worship and church meetings, attending Sabbath School. We keep putting these “clothes” on because they are comfortable, but they have lost their meaning. Just like the nation of Judah, we sometimes lose the fresh feeling of being committed to Christ. We need to shed our “going through the motions” clothes and wash ourselves so we can be clean and fresh again.
