—Nehemiah 2:1-5
by: Angie Osborn.
Nehemiah was suffering from a very heavy heart. He saw that Jerusalem needed help, and felt God call him to do something about it. But there was a "small" problem. Nehemiah was a servant of the king and couldn't just take a "leave of absence." With a heavy heart, Nehemiah went before the king, and God opened the door for him to share his burden. When God calls us into action, the call doesn't always make sense. There are always obstacles to prevent us from following that call. Yet, when God places a call on our lives, he also provides a way. Even when things seem impossible to overcome, God can find a way.
