"But when I am lifted up.". Jesus was lifted up. First, he was literally lifted up onto a cross. There he humbled himself and gave his life. Now, he is figuratively lifted up. We lift him in praise. Praise because he took on human form and lived among men. Praise because he taught with authority. Praise because he heals. Praise because he willingly died that we might have eternal life. As you go through the day, seek out ways to "lift Jesus up." Praise him, thank him, tell others about him, focus on him, and let your deeds be for his glory.
